Formed in early 2004, 5th gear has been on the local rock scene so long for many reasons. The most important reason being that they sound great! Not only is the band tight and the song selection diverse but the vocals are on point. They are able to read the crowd and deliver songs accordingly. Preferring live gigs to studios, 5th Gear has been honing their stage and performance skills playing 4 nights a week covering rock songs you know and love from the 60's to current. But their originals are just as powerful. They have written and released two original CDs available on all popular download sites including itunes. 5th Gear’s resume includes events like the South Florida BBQ Fest, Pre Super Bowl parties in Miami and Orange Bowl Tailgate parties, and airplay of their original songs "Crumble", "Long Day" and "Not Give In" on local top rated radio station 103.1 “the buzz.
